Twas the night before…flowerpot!
We are down to the wire! Flowerpot will arrive, Good Lord willing, tomorrow afternoon. It’s our last night as a family of 4. Though technically speaking, we’ve been a family of five for nine months already. 😀 Birth is always crazy to me. With the other two, we didn’t know anything, what gender they were or when they would arrive. This time round with flowerpot, we know pretty much everything. It’s weird to know when a baby will be born. It’s also always odd to learn the new baby too. I remember when Phoebe was born, it was so exciting because we didn’t have any other experience to relate too. When Ethan was born, we approached it like it was old hat – but it wasn’t. It was a completely different experience and a completely different baby. Reg and I remember staring at him on our bed at home wondering “Who are you?!” It was so weird! And now, on the eve of my third child’s birth, I find myself wondering again. What will she be like? How will flowerpot mess with our family dynamic? She already has! I had too much time to think today while we sat around the hospital room, waiting for the anesthetist to show up and run us through the procedure. 3 hours and 45 minutes later, he never showed up. I guess he will be there tomorrow… ? Hope so! Otherwise flowerpot will be getting a good dose of bourbon! bwahahaahah…. (just kidding). 😎
We wanted to get some maternity photos with me in them (Reg did really, I’m more comfortable behind the camera). So we got dad to nab a few the other morning down at Wakamow park. As usual, family photos for us are a gong show and we’re lucky to get one photo where everyone is looking up at the same time. hehehe… c’est la vie. It’s us. I nabbed one of Mom & Dad on the rock which turned out nice too. It was super fun to frame some memories before we (externally) grow from 4 to 5! 🙂
