It was a great deal of fun and veritable trip down memory lane the other night helping out the Girl Guides in Oxbow. The girls needed to earn their photography badges and I was pleased to stop by and show them tons of my photography gear and take some shots. I remember being in Cubs many moons ago. We never did a photography badge, but it was all those fun experiences that make the memories. We talked about lens aperture being like your eye and all the fun tricks with shutter speed to freeze or blur motion. Then we set the lights up and played with flash. It was a riot and everyone took turns either being the photographer, the model or the assistant. 😎
No time for losers, cuz they are the champions! 😎 The senior girls did Oxbow proud and became gold medal winners and provincial champs in 2011. The details of the big win can be viewed here. They got some pretty sweet championship jackets too. They needed a group photo so I was happy to oblige. I shot a couple of different angles and scenarios from the typical old row to our “glam meets sass” creation. It was a pile o’ fun and we had it wrapped up in under a half hour.
